Accelerating the Future

2022 was a year of big challenges and bold steps. As Europe dealt with the impact of the war in Ukraine, ensuring a stable energy supply became more important than ever. Curtains up!

In 2021, over 3.3 billion people worldwide were fully vaccinated against the coronavirus. An important step back to normality! While RWE launched it’s big “Growing Green Strategy”, a lot has also happened at RWEST: We said goodbyes and hellos as our management team reorganised, trading with VER certificates started and we filmed our first corporate film.

Breaking new ground

We reached important milestones in 2020: After two years the transaction with E.ON was completed, involving the integration of Innogy’s renewables and gas storage businesses and the transfer of 2,700 employees to the RWE Group. RWE Supply & Trading Japan celebrated the opening of its office in the centre of Tokyo. And to top it all off, we launched our anniversary webspecial that year.
