1:1 meetings via video conference work as good as sitting together. Video conferences with more people where information exchanged also work well. Kids coming into the room sometimes puts a welcome smile on everyone’s faces 😊
What is your biggest challenge?
To maintain constant contact with my colleagues within the board and beyond. Pretty often, it is about the things you hear and learn beyond the usual meeting. Trading and Origination is about communication – that is why we have open office spaces and the Trading Floor.
I do have to fight for WLAN capacity within my family as my kids do online schooling from 9 am every day as well. Therefore, the WLAN connection is not working well all the time.
What is it you are looking forward to most, once the situation has gone back to normal?
Seeing more people smiling again! At this point of time, people are in a “solve the problem mode.”
Next to that, in my business areas, we mainly work with creative businesses outside; with trading counterparts. That creates the deal pipeline.
Some personal words to the RWEST family?
I wish everyone a healthy environment, especially within your family. I trust we can keep our sustainable business running. Fortunately, we are less affected by economic cycles compared to other companies.
